Edenfield Stables is a boutique style property located on the Brisbane River near Fernvale in the Brisbane Valley region.
We have a small number of quality stock and aim to produce rideable, competitive horses with great temperaments.

I developed a keen interest in horses when I started High School. As a sport option we could go to the Garden City Riding School which was located at Cotswold Hills in Toowoomba. Of a weekend I would spend hours riding around the cultivation with Granddad, who lived across the road from us, learning to stay on and as much as I could about looking after them.
I purchased the Connemara X gelding “Grassmere Peppercorn” when I was 14 and in our first year decided to join the local Kingsthorpe Pony Club and our school Equestrian Team. I was nominated as captain the following year and went on to win at our first major event in the Dressage at Inter School.
I always thought the idea of being able to multi-task and be a bit of an all rounder was a great idea so was very keen on Eventing but having the heart of a chicken and my attention to detail - I ended up concentrating on Dressage and did well through the Pony Club years in the Rider Classes/Hacking and Dressage.
Following on from school I completed the Associate Diploma of Horse Husbandry at UQ Gatton.
Here I purchased a thoroughbred through the University called “Total Ambition”. After graduation I spent a year at Benalbyn Lodge at Munruben under the daily guidance of the late Jim O’Farrell and his wife Naomi. I was selected on the Qld Young Dressage Riders Squad with Total Ambition for two years running and spent many hours watching lessons taught by Jim and visiting instructors.
Upon returning home a variety of jobs out of the horse industry as a short break, saw me head back to the horses. A couple of years spent managing “Blanchview Farm” at the base of the Toowoomba range resulted in the opportunity to attend Dressage With the Stars and develop an interest in the breeding and bloodlines of the sport.
With a number of young horses waiting in the wings plans for the future include breeding a small number of quality horses with temperament being the first priority as I journey into the next stage of life as a mother.
To be able to breed and train horses to FEI is the ultimate goal not only for the Dressage discipline but branching into bloodlines suited to other Equestrian Sports as well – perhaps bringing back that interest in multi-tasking!
